ECOWAS member states and some other African countries are exempted from obtaining a visa before entering Nigeria. Nationals from African Union member states who are not ECOWAS nationals may obtain a visa on arrival after paying the required fees. Other participants need to apply for a visa in their home country unless Nigeria does not have a diplomatic mission there, in which case they will need to apply for a visa on arrival.
